There are moments, beloved, when the Spirit moves and reveals to the heart what the eyes cannot see. Just after the turn of the century, the Lord began to whisper of a remnant, a holy seed, a people set apart—not by their own strength, nor by the wisdom of men, but by the refining fire of His Spirit. As it is written, “He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver” (Malachi 3:3). Oh, how He longs to reach down into the burning trials of life and pull forth those who are His, a brand plucked from the very fire of tribulation (Zechariah 13:9).
Many today walk in shadows, blinded by the cares of the world, yet the Lord’s hand is not shortened. He sees the faithful, those who tremble at His Word and bow before His majesty. “The Lord knows them that are His” (2 Timothy 2:19). Is it not by the refining fire that He distinguishes His own?
Do not misunderstand, beloved. We do not claim to be the only ones God has chosen. There are multitudes whom He gathers, and yet He has brought some together with us, forming a company, a congregation, a remnant bound not by sight but by the Spirit. “For many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14). Together, we rise—not by human striving—but by the whisper of God that speaks to our innermost being, calling us out of the dross of the world and into the glory of His presence.
I have seen visions of this brand, fiery yet secure, shining with the light of His countenance. Trials may rage around, but those who are plucked shall not be consumed. “They shall be as a brand plucked out of the fire” (Zechariah 3:2), their hearts anchored in the Rock, their eyes fixed upon the heavens, for redemption draws near (Luke 21:28), and the Lord Himself is the great Refiner.
Consider, then, this moment of your life. Are you standing in the embers, trembling at the heat of testing? Or have you yielded fully, surrendered fully, so that the Lord may lift you out and declare, “This is My own, a brand plucked from the fire” (Zechariah 3:2)?
Oh, how precious are those who bear His seal! Not by might, not by power, but by the Spirit of the living God (Zechariah 4:6), they shall stand, burning with holiness, shining with purity, and walking in the counsel of the Almighty. And I tell you, the fire has already been kindled, the hand already extended, and the plucking already taking place. “The LORD will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday” (Psalm 37:6).
You, yes you, may be that brand today. Open your heart, surrender your all, and let Him lift you from the fire into His everlasting arms. For He is the Lord who redeems (Isaiah 44:22), and His glory shall not pass over you unnoticed.
